![]() Has anyone had any similar issue? Any suggestions on how to get this resolved? I replied again to my previous BD customer support ticket for the time being. I'll probably just reinstall BD again, but this can't keep happening, on every "reinstall" I have to manually add my firewall rules, custom scan settings, etc whch is very tedious process. I tried disabling the firewall from control panel, Windows Defender settings, etc, nothing is working. When I try to do that, all options (stop, restart, etc) are grayed out. I checked BD and Firewall was disabled with no ability to turn it on.Īfter a bit of searching I found several suggestions to "stop" Windows Defender Firewall under services (services.msc). Fix 1: Disable Windows SmartScreen Fix 2: Execute the File via Command Prompt Fix 3: Install the App Using the Hidden Administrator Account Fix 4: Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Program If you use the Windows 10 OS, then you most likely greatly appreciate its efficiency in guarding against the installation of suspicious software. Today, 5 days after "fixing" the issue, I started getting prompts from Windows Firewall. I thought great, issue solved.īut it was not solved. After that Windows Firewall was disabled and BD's Firewall took over. ![]() I contacted customer support, and after several back and forth and trying several things that did not work, they suggested to do a repair on BD Total Security. Windows firewall was being enabled and I could not enable the BD Firewall even if I disabled the Windows one. I tried to enable it but it turns off immediately. I checked Bitdefender, and Firewall was disabled somehow. ![]() Last week I started getting notifications from Windows Firewall about giving network access to several programs I was using. I am a long time subscriber of Bitdefender Total Security. ![]()
